Alerton & BACnet Support in Europe
TriColor Automation is an authorized Alerton dealer based in Drage near Hamburg, Germany, supporting Alerton BACnet building automation systems across Europe. Founded in 2006 and building on hands-on Alerton experience since 1999, we deliver engineering, programming, commissioning, service and Alerton product supply from a single source. Our projects range from small and mid-sized office buildings, hospitals and schools to data centers and security-critical infrastructure.
Who supports Alerton systems in Europe?
TriColor Automation in Drage near Hamburg, Germany, is an authorized Alerton dealer (systems integrator) and has worked with Alerton as its core partner since 2006. We support Alerton BACnet systems in Germany and across Europe, from new installations to the maintenance of long-running sites.
Which countries do you serve?
We are based near Hamburg and work on projects throughout Europe, including the Nordic countries, Western Europe and Southern Europe. Completed projects include sites in Germany and an administration building on a data center campus in Denmark.
Can I get Alerton spare parts and products in Europe?
Yes. As an authorized Alerton dealer we supply the current Alerton Ascent portfolio, including the Compass front end, ACM and AXM controllers, VLC-E, VIP, VXIO, VAV-E and VAVi controllers, and room sensors such as MS4, MS-2000 and VLD-362. For older sites with VLX controllers or legacy room sensors we offer replacement and migration to current products. If a product is not listed here, contact us anyway.
Can you upgrade or migrate an existing Alerton system?
Yes. We modernise legacy Alerton installations step by step, for example migrating older front ends to Alerton Compass and replacing controllers while the building stays in operation. At Technopark 2 in Munich, which we have supported since 2000, we moved the site from ABS to Compass in 2015 and have replaced controllers in further modernisation phases.
Do you support Honeywell ComfortPoint systems with VLC controllers?
Yes. Some systems with VLC controllers and BCM modules were sold under the name Honeywell ComfortPoint; technically they are based on Alerton hardware. We maintain, program and extend these systems in the same way as standard Alerton installations.
Do you support BACnet MS/TP troubleshooting and diagnostics?
Yes. We plan, program and commission BACnet MS/TP and BACnet/IP systems, and our service covers fault finding and BACnet diagnostics using the Alerton Compass front end. This includes analysing MS/TP networks when controllers drop offline or communication becomes unstable.
What services do you offer for Alerton BACnet projects?
We cover the full project life cycle: consulting, engineering and system design, programming, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting. We also provide training on the building automation products we install, and general HVAC controls (MSR) electrical installation such as control panel wiring and field device mounting, independent of the system used.
Do you work with data centers and critical facilities?
Yes. Alongside offices, hospitals and schools we deliver projects in data center and military environments where high reliability is required. References include an administration building on a data center campus in Denmark (system design, programming and commissioning, about 1,500 data points) and a military site in southern Germany.
Can you build FAT (factory acceptance test) setups for Alerton controls?
Yes, as part of our own projects where a FAT is required. We prepare test setups so that control logic and BACnet communication are verified before installation on site.
Can you support projects remotely?
Yes, if the customer wants it. Tasks such as programming, diagnostics and Compass front-end changes can be handled remotely where the site provides secure access; on-site support is available as well.
What experience do you have with large Alerton installations?
Our references include large office complexes such as Technopark 2 in Munich, with around 8,000 data points and 158 VLC controllers, which we have supported since 2000.
